Scott Cathcart is a 23-time finisher of the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon, Ironman triathlete, marathoner, investor, startup co-founder and C-suite executive at the intersection of cannabis, consumer products, technology, entertainment and lifestyle industries. Entrepreneur and multi-national business leader with extensive global business development, corporate development, finance, licensing, marketing, sales, technology, and new product launch experience spanning 25+ years. For the leading video game publisher Ubisoft, Scott Cathcart architected the videogame launch process across 14 marketing disciplines for North, Central and South America while also advising on the restructuring of Ubisoft’s internal advertising agency. As a senior advertising executive, he drove marketing strategy and developed advertising for such leading international brands as Kimberly-Clark, Nestlé, Morgan Stanley and Gillette at ad agencies Ogilvy & Mather, BBDO, and J. Walter Thompson. Scott Cathcart also led the development of the North Atlantic (North America & Europe) strategic marketing platform for the Gillette Mach3, and managed the production of multi-lingual advertising and launch of the Gillette SensorExcel in the US, Canada and 17 European markets. Scott designed and then negotiated international supply-chain logistics for a food packaging technology startup backed by venture capital based in the Netherlands and Silicon Valley, and has served as a founder and/or senior executive at numerous startup ventures, including:  a mobile content production company, a financial services firm that concluded more than $1 billion in structured financial transactions and a construction technology firm that invented a revolutionary modular structural building design and negotiated an exclusive worldwide strategic alliance with Maersk. In his free time as a competitive athlete, Scott Cathcart is an Ironman 140.6 finisher, he has completed the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon 23 years in a row as of 2019, numerous sub-3 hour marathons and Ironman 70.3 triathlons, and he is an avid skier.
